The Tabernacle in psalm 27

Psalm 27:3-5 ESV Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. [4] One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. [5] For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. I wonder if the familiar Tabernacle in Gibeon (Moses Tabernacle 2 Chronicles 1:3 ESV And Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon, for the tent of meeting of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness, was there.) had such a special place in David’s heart, and in his time fleeing Saul in the wilderness, separation from the Tabernacle grieved his soul deeply. And yet God had provided aeons before a huge cavern (large enough for six hundred men), cut from rock. That cavern became a tabernacle where David again met with God. A meeting place with God. A pleading place for David. A refuge from his enemies. A place to wait for God to act.
